The Post-Normal

A concept by (amongst others) the philosopher Jerry Ravetz and mathematician Silvio Funtowicz.

They’re using the concept of the “post-normal” to describe situations in which “facts are uncertain, values in dispute, stakes high and decisions urgent” (Ravetz 1999)
